This Rancilio Silvia Boiler with Heating Element will work with all Silvias manufactured after 2006. It is important to first check your Silvia for compatibility as parts are non-returnable. Please refer to the image below of the opened top of a compatible Silvia, shown as V2 or V3 - also V4. If you have a V2 or V3, the included wiring harness will extend your wiring to reach the new placement of this boiler heating element. Note that the pipe for steam connects to the top of the boiler (as opposed to the side on a pre-2006, or V1). The image below shows all versions of the Silvia boilers. The boiler to the right is the part for sale. If your boiler matches the one on the left, you must add the extra plumbing kit to make the water connections for your V1 Silvia work with this newer boiler. All previous boiler versions from Rancilio are discontinued, and this is now the only part available for sale.

Installed the boiler the day I got it and everything went well. I love my Silvia again!
This kit did include everything I needed to replace the dead boiler in my Miss Silvia. There were no instructions at all so I want to share a couple notes: I took a lot of pre-photos of the wiring before I started taking things apart. I also found a good diagram online that someone posted. If you search Instagram I have posted my photos and the diagram I referenced. For me, I had to cut off the original boiler screws due to corrosion but was able to find replacements online (there is one screw that is slightly longer for the grounding connectors. This kit comes with two brass washers that are definitely required. I was not sure where they were supposed to go but I put one on either side of the 1/4" x 1/4" plumbing extension (I first neglected that step and had leaks). Also, take note of the angle of the OPV (Over-pressure valve). It took me several attempts to thread it and tighten it to the exact same angle (and tightness)...this was probably the hardest part of the whole assembly procedure. Not sure if required but I did apply teflon tape to all of the threaded plumbing joints. Also, I was able to salvage the thermostats and thermal protection switch from the old boiler, just remember to apply some thermal paste (I got it at AutoZone) to help apply the thermostats (and if you buy thermostats online note that they do not come with the screws and brackets so salvage those as well). I am happy to say that my Silvia has been brought back to life and heats up very quickly now!! I'm pretty sure it heats up quicker than with the original boiler.
The item description is not yet fixed, so let me clarify, this kit is for Silvias manufactured BEFORE 2006, and it includes the optional plumbing kit required for V1 boiler compatibility. Everything you need to upgrade a V1 Silvia boiler is in this kit, and the price is great. If you have a pre-2006 Rancilio Silvia with the original boiler, buy this kit, because if you don’t need it now, you soon will, and who knows how long this will be available.
